Downy yellow false foxglove is hemiparasitic on white oaks, but does possess chlorophyll and performs photosynthesis. Yellow flowers open June through August in terminal clusters of funnel-shaped blooms atop downy stems. Plant near a tree in the white oak family, in partial sun, in rocky, clay or sandy loam. Deer eagerly browse this plant.
